Who is responsible for your data
A S Electrical is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. The business is operated by Adam Stuart at 26 Applegate Way, Kingsbridge, Devon, TQ7 1FN.
Information we collect
When you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, property address, job details and any other information you choose to provide. The job enquiry form can also accept a what3words location. Your precise device location is requested only when you select Use my location and allow access in your browser.
Our hosting systems may record limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser type and request time, for security and reliability.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, discuss and prepare estimates, arrange work, keep business records, prevent misuse of the forms and meet legal or accounting obligations. We rely on steps taken at your request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business.
Sharing and storage
Contact-form submissions pass through our privately hosted automation and are sent to our business email account and private Telegram notification channel. Detailed job enquiries are also stored in our privately hosted customer-record system. Service providers that host or support these systems process information only so they can provide their services. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become customer work are normally kept for up to 12 months. Where work is completed, relevant customer, estimate, invoice and certification records may be kept for up to six years, or longer where the law or an ongoing matter requires it. Technical security logs are kept only for as long as reasonably needed.
Cookies and external services
This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Links to WhatsApp, Telegram, Microsoft 365, Google Maps and what3words are external services used to receive enquiries or provide website features, and each applies its own privacy terms. Location data is sent to what3words only when you ask the form to look up your location.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your information, object to or restrict its use, or ask for a portable copy. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
